Saint-Laurent Boulevard, better known in Montreal as The Main, was closed to vehicular traffic this weekend for it’s twice a summer shopper’s delight, known as Main Madness. For the event, stores and restaurants spill out on to the street and hock their wares for bargain basement prices and set up terrasses along the length of the street, starting from Sherbrooke St. heading North.
People were able to get everything from clothes, shoes, accessories and all kinds of tempting smelling and even better tasting foods. Dogs, families and all other demographics filled the street to enjoy the sales and the entertainment that lined the street.
Main Madness typically happens in May and August.
