Mahwah entered the overtime the same way they played the second half. They continued to push the ball and draw fouls until they took the lead. With 30 seconds remaining in the game they led, 40-36. With :17.4 seconds remaining Ridgefield Park drew a foul and made both foul shots. They did steal the ball off an inbounds play during the final seconds of the game, but were unable to score.
Both Mahwah's JV and Ridgefield Park's JV have strong, athletic players who are able to dribble, shoot, and pass. They also have a few players who contribute to their varsity as well.
