MAHLE Aftermarket to support Conrad Grunwald's No. 79 car in Formula D series

MAHLE Aftermarket Inc., Farmington Hills, MI, has made a deal to sponsor and supply technical support for Conrad Grunewald’s No.79 car for the 2014 Professional Drifting Championship Series. Grunewald has been competing in the series since it was launched in 2004, forming the Conrad Grunewald Racing Team five years later.

“I am looking forward to having MAHLE on board with us this season,” he exclaimed. “In addition to their deeply rooted history and success in motorsports, they are exceptional people to work with and provide unparalleled products. I am thrilled about the partnership.”

In turn, Jon Douglas, general manager, MAHLE Aftermarket, expressed his own enthusiasm for the new partnership. “Conrad Grunewald is a talented driver and we are pleased to support him as he competes in the 2014 Formula DRIFT series.”As a leader in motorsports with various partnerships in circle track, drag racing, Formula 1 and diesel motorsports arenas, we have the experience to provide him with the technical knowledge needed to succeed in the Formula DRIFT series.”

Grunewald finished in the top-15 at the Formula D opener in Long Beach April 4th, and is now ranked 13th in the 2014 Formula DRIFT Pro Championship standings heading into the next event at Road Atlanta in Georgia on May 10.
