Sacramento is having a juried art show for the local talent of artists or creative geniuses. Juried arts shows include the presentation of objects to be viewed by a judge or jury of experts.
They make decisions on the objects for the value they present in the modern concept of contemporary art to belief of past genres are allowed and mediums specified to meet the particular event or club.
It is called Magnum Opus XXV, hosted by Sacramento Fine Arts Center. It will be held July 29, 2014 through August 16, 2014.
The Fine Arts Center is located at 5330 Gibbons Drive Carmicheal. The hours of open is 11 A.M. to 3 P.M. except on Tuesdays when they are open til 7 P.M. There is no charge of admission to view the art objects.
The judge will be Gayle Rappaport Wieland. The mediums to be judged are art works, sculptures, pottery, photography and paintings.

This is a unique opportunity for closet artists to get out and show off their talents. They are encouraged to present their material at one of these shows or to go to the local county fairs and then on to the California State Fair held during the end of the summer.
Don't forget to get out and about town on the Second Saturday Arts walk throughout the city of Sacramento. There are always special arrangements and sometimes receptions for particular events such as this one which will be opened from 5.30 - 7.30 P.M.
