Our cat, Princess, wasn’t feeling very well. I took her to Safe Harbor, a local veterinary clinic in Pensacola at the corner of Creighton Road and Davis Highway. She was diagnosed with an overactive thyroid, and placed on medication to be given twice a day.
I’m forgetful, so I made an easy way to keep track of her meds. It is a magnet I keep on the refrigerator. The magnet was made by covering an advertising magnet with a peel and stick label. On one end it says “Princess took her AM pill”. Rotate the magnet and the other end reads “Princess took her PM pill”. After giving Princess her medication, I rotate the magnet so that it reads correctly.
Princess’ doctor, Gina Forgey, has become an Examiner, too. She is writing a column about dogs and cats in the Panama City edition. Here’s a link to her first column;
If you have a passion to share with the rest of the world and you want to write about it at least once a month, apply to become an Examiner. Use this link http://exm.nr/iQBbgl and be ready to fill out the application and submit a sample story.
