Magic in the Midwest

It was a year ago that my husband, five year old (at the time) and I ventured to the magical world of Disney and shared the laughs and tears that come with a full week of Disney World. While it truly is one of my favorite places to visit, the reality is I can't always afford to go every year. That's why, when a piece of Mickey magic comes my way in Indianapolis, I pounce on the opportunity.

Indy will be home to a couple of Disney shows in the next few months. First up is Mickey's Magic Show at Conseco Fieldhouse with a couple of shows on November 7th. There, kids of all ages will get to witness some of their favorite characters turn rags to riches (Cinderella) and levitate (Hmmmm - will Jasmine take a magic carpet ride?). Illusionist Brad Ross will help. I saw a great preview in a Staten Island pub. that has me all excited about the performance here. Tickets: $15-$60.

If you miss that, don't worry Disney on Ice is coming to town in January for Toy Story 3. Rumor has it that Groovy Barbie's honey Ken might make an appearance with some other hotties.

And if you are in the market for that trip down south - check out Disney Moms for some great advice and ways to save money for the whole family. You can actually ask a specific question and a real mom or dad will answer it for you. We saved big bucks and loved every minute.
