Could we see Urza in a Magic Movie?
Or would it focus on "new" planeswalkers?

According to an MTV exclusive interview with Hasbro CEO Brian Goldner, a Magic: the Gathering movie may not be as farfetched as many Magic players believe. Here are some interesting quotes from the article:
Asked if the movie would have a classic fantasy look to it, producer and Hasbro CEO Brian Goldner cautioned that the Planeswalkers of "Magic" that the film will feature don't belong in any one particular time or place.
“The Planeswalker story is such a great story and there’s so many elements in the mythology of 'Magic: The Gathering' that could be amazing for movie storytelling."
(speaking about Planeswalkers)
"They are much more contemporary people, and their powers are much more contemporary in nature, and more consistent with the people who play our games," Goldner explained. "And I think that could provide interesting point of difference versus that kind of like historical Merlin or wizards type of storyline."
With other Hasbro intellectual properties such as Transformers and G.I. Joe making the transition onto the big screen, it is only a matter of time before Magic: the Gathering fans get their movie.
