Dead roses, dark queens, and spicy food. No, it’s not delivery to a Bauhaus concert, but actually the grand unveiling of Innistrad at the Magic: The Gathering PAX Prime 2011 party!
Players and fans that were able to solve riddles (And they did seem a bit harder this year compared to 2010) on the convention floor were treated with an invite to this gala affair, an enchanted evening under the moonlight where suspicions of the so called dual-faced cards were confirmed.
There were some other exciting revelations regarding things to come in Innistrad as well!
Attendees could actually get token cards made, with their own images plastered onto a number of popular creatures – a true Magic: The Gathering souvenir if there ever was one.
Tables, chairs, and the rest of the horror-themed affair were strewn with fliers, pamphlets, and other lore-drenched paraphernalia.
And of course, what night of languishing horror would be complete without snapping a photo with Liliana herself? Or checking out the new Innistrad trailer featuring a decidedly were-y Garruk?
As if that wasn’t enough, there was also free Magic 2012 product about and ghoulishly good-time libations being served at the bar.
For those not lucky enough to attend this evening of gothic delight, there is an excellent source of condensed Innistrad information on the official Magic: The Gathering site.
