For a card gamer the release of a new set is always an exciting event. Being able to participate in a pre-release only makes things more exciting. Attending a pre-release means seeing the new cards for the game you play before they are officially available for sale.
Magic: the Gathering is releasing a new expansion set, Rise of the Eldrazi, on April 23. Eldrazi looks to be packed full of more power cards for the Magic faithful to load their decks with. If you want to get your hands on the new cards early you can.
ABU Games will be hosting two pre-release tournaments for the Rise of the Eldrazi set on April 17th. The first tournament registers at 11am and play begins at noon. The second tournament registers at 6pm and play begins at 7pm. There is an entry fee of $21.00 per tournament to cover the cost of the cards being handed out.
Participants will receive 6 booster packs which they will use to construct a deck to use in the tournament. Also, everyone will receive special promo card as well as 2 more booster packs of the new set after the tournament is over.
