Magic Loaf wizard helps you customize your own allergy-free vegan loaf recipe

Tired of finding vegetarian recipes that sound great but include soy, eggs, nuts, gluten or other ingredients that you can't eat or don't have on hand?

Here's a recipe tool that helps you personalize vegan loaf recipes to perfectly accommodate your personal tastes, allergies and what's in your cupboard.

The Magic Loaf Studio promises to help you "Design Your Own Adventist-Style Vegan Dinner Loaf!".

Jennifer McCann of the Vegan Lunch Box Blog created the wizard, which lets you mix and match for each of these categories:

  • Protein (including various beans, lentils, tofu and more)
  • Nuts or seeds (including cashews, pine nuts, sesame seeds and more)
  • Liquid (including tomato juice, veggie broth, nondairy milk and more)
  • Binder (including flax seeds, tapioca flour, cooked oatmeal and more)
  • Oil (including olive oil, broth, margarine and more)
  • Carbohydrate (including cooked brown rice, millet, crushed cereal flakes and more)
  • Vegetables (including carrots, onions, celery and more)
  • Herbs & Seasonings (including thyme, sage, nutritional yeast, cumin, ketchup and more)
  • Salty Seasoning (including salt, seasoned salt, soy sauce and more)

Simply pick one or more for each category and the recipe wizard will tell you exactly how much of each ingredient to use and customize a recipe for you!

You even get to name your recipe, and the wizard will create your recipe page with your personalized name on top!

You can create your dinner loaf to be gluten-free, soy-free, nut-free, egg-free or simply free of those ingredients you just don't care for.

Obviously, the site author can't guarantee the taste of every possible combination. You'll need to use common sense about mixing ingredients that clash or not using enough seasoning. That said, I've had good success with the wizard and it's a favorite recipe maker for my friend Tiffany when she wants to make a vegan loaf.

One of the nice things about this recipe is that since it contains no raw meat or eggs, you can taste it before you cook it and adjust the seasonings.

Mix and match, following your own personal tastes, and have fun!
