There are many unannounced shows and things that happen daily at the Walt Disney World parks and resorts. Some of these shows, that are not really shows, are a part of doing business daily for Disney Cast Members. A popular show/non-show is the opening of the bridge at Epcot’s World Showcase Lagoon to bring the fireworks out for IllimuNations. However, there is another one featured at the Magic Kingdom, which showcases American pride and patriotism.
The American Flag Ceremony is help nightly at 5 p.m. in Town Square at Magic Kingdom. This is when the American Flag is ceremonially lowered down and removed from the flagpole. Many gather to watch this ceremony with pride. In the past local college marching bands, smaller Disney bands and high school bands have participated in the flag ceremony. Disney has been know to also ask for veterans to step forward and assist with the ceremony.
Take time out of your day and experience one of the flag ceremonies when at Magic Kingdom. It will be a nice experience to end you day at the park or before going back into the park for more fun and adventure.
