NBA Hall of Fame star Magic Johnson really wants to see Miami Heat star LeBron James dunk. Johnson said he’ll put up $1 million dollars of his own cash if the basketball star agrees to participate in the next NBA dunk contest, according to a Mar. 1 Reuters report.
James has never competed in the All-Star Weekend showcase event even though he is known for his impressive warm-up dunks during Heat game warm up sessions. Johnson is not backing down his pleas, however. “Please, LeBron, get in the dunk contest. I'm going to put up a million dollars,” Johnson said on ESPN's pre-game telecast. “A million dollars from Magic to LeBron. Please get in the dunk contest. I go every year. I want to see you out there. A million to the winner.”
And the odds are in James’ favor according to Yard Barker, who writes, “James would end up pocketing the cash if he decided he wanted in on the deal. Because who really stands a chance at competing with this?”
