Celebrity magician, comedian and illusionist, T.A. Hamilton to offer his 20 years of Joy and laughter to UMKC’s Communiversity this winter semester by teaching his ‘School of Magic’, the art of illusion. The objective of this course is to provide the student a basic knowledge concerning the performance of magic as an entertainment art form. The student will have the opportunity to learn and correctly present magic of many genres.
Hamilton says; “like any new skill, magic, requires practice to achieve maximum results.” The illusions taught are selected to provide an ease of learning while giving the student a background in magic which will provide enjoyment and pleasure for years to come. Students will learn a different illusion each week culminating in a magical presentation by the students for their family and friends.
Hamilton is an expert in magic and the allied arts. He possesses an extensive personal collection of memorabilia and apparatus from some of history’s most notable magicians including Harry Houdini, Doug Henning, Harry Blackstone and David Copperfield, just to name a few.
This professional workshop is a wonderful introduction into the world of magic. Classes begin Wednesday, February 6, 2013, please see UMKC’s Communiversity for more information.
