The bright new country star, Maggie Rose, is coming the Rodeo Club in San Jose this Friday. I saw her awhile back at Charley's in Los Gatos, where she played to a packed house.
Maggie Rose's style reminds me of the sassy country side of Miranda Lambert. I think she is amazing! She has beauty, talent, charisma and good songs. What more can you ask for in a female country music star?
Her hits include I Ain't Your Mama and Whiskey And A Gun. I'm sure you are familiar with them if you listen to our local country station, KRTY.
Maggie moved to Nashville at a young age to pursue her dream. She hails from Potomac, Maryland, which is hardly a mecca for country music. Before heading to Nashville, she got the attention of Tommy Mottola, the famed record executive behind Mariah Carey and Celine Dion. He was so impressed that he encouraged her and made the initial introductions into the country music scene. Maggie impressed Nashville, just as she had impressed Tommy, and is now well on her way to superstardom.
You can get tickets in advance for $10 at the KRTY radio station or for $15 at the door, if they aren't sold out.
