The Highlands Ranch Metro District has hired Maggie Glass to serve as the first Mansion Manager for the historic Highlands Ranch Mansion.
Glass, a Highlands Ranch resident with diverse experience in managing historic buildings, working with patrons, clients and volunteers, and overseeing events, started this new position in September.
“We’re thrilled Maggie is joining the Metro District’s team to work on this exciting community project”, said Metro District General Manager Terry Nolan. “Maggie’s enthusiasm is contagious and her experience with historic facilities, programs and events will provide a great foundation to build a vibrant and exciting program at the Mansion.”
Glass was most recently executive Director of the Evergreen Chorale and Center/Stage where she developed events, oversaw the maintenance of a historic theatre and conference center and worked with artists and vendors. Prior to that, Glass worked at the Central City Opera and at the Brown Palace Hotel. Glass earned a degree in Theatre Arts and Political Science from the University of Denver.
“I’m excited to be taking on this new role with the Highlands Ranch Metro District and am proud to work for an organization that offers so much to our community,” states Glass. “I can’t wait to open up the Mansion to the community next summer and I’m greatly honored by the opportunity to lead us into the next exciting chapter of the Mansion’s cherished history.”
The 120-year-old Mansion, which encompasses 22,000 square feet, is being renovated by the Metro District, and will open in June next year.
The Metro District recently launched a new website for the Highlands Ranch Mansion at www.highlandsranchmansion.com.
