On Wednesday June 25, 2014, Madonna's teenage daughter Lourdes graduated from F.H. LaGuardia High School of Music and Art & Performing Arts. 17-year-old Lourdes wore a stylish yellow sundress when she arrived for the graduation ceremony at Lincoln Center on the Upper West Side of Manhattan. Naturally, Lourdes also donned a white cap and gown as she received her diploma from "The Fame School."

Lourdes is Madonna's daughter with ex Carlos Leon. The Material Girl's daughter is attending her mother's alma mater, The University of Michigan. Lourdes is listed in the college's directory as studying music, theatre, and dance. She will pursue a BFA (Bachelor of Fine Arts) in musical theatre. Lourdes chose to go by her nickname Lola when registering for university courses.

In 2012, Madonna spoke highly of The University of Michigan, where she had a dance scholarship: "I want my daughter to go to school there," She remarked "I keep telling her, Ann Arbor is an awesome place." Madonna left UM to pursue her dreams of making it big in New York City. She struggled for years and finally made it big.

Lourdes looks back on her experience at The Fame school fondly. She's grateful for her experience at LaGuardia because it gave her "confidence and the YOLO spirit I needed to successfully look like a clown."

"I feel like high school graduation is something I’ve been talking about forever and now its finally here." Lola wrote on her blog. She went on to say: "Wrapping up High School has been pretty hectic (not actually doing THAT much so idk why) and words cannot express my excitement to sit in the sun and jam [with] friends."

Madonna was a proud mother and showed her school pride when she Instagramed a picture in the University of Michigan's school store, The M Den. "I think I'll stop in here!" She captioned the photo, adding, "#unapologeticbitch.
