Madonna's latest selfie shows the "Material Girl" missing one major material beauty item,a lady shaver. The hairy armpit selfie surprised and to be honest kind of grosses out numerous fans.
But, Madge is Madge, and she does what she does, and speaks her mind.
Yesterday's armpit selfie shows the 55-year-old mother of four sporting a black bow tie, lacy bra and a very hairy armpit and was captioned by the singer who wrote,
“Long hair… Don’t Care! #artforfreedom #rebelheart #revolutionoflove.”
Madonna heads up Art For Freedom, which is an organization that aims to encourage the rights of creative expression that brings awareness to human rights violations, and "start a revolution of love."
Madonna encourages her fans, and everyone she knows and associates with to contribute art that promotes freedom of speech.
During a 2011 interview with Harpers' Bazaar Madonna spoke about being a kid who did her own thing and the price she paid for being an individual who led, instead of following.
"[G]oing to high school, I saw how popular girls had to behave to get the boys. I knew I couldn't fit into that. So I decided to do the opposite. I refused to wear makeup, to have a hairstyle. I refused to shave. I had hairy armpits.
"The boys in my school would make fun of me. 'Hairy monster.' You know, things like that," she said, adding: "Straight men did not find me attractive. I think they were scared of me because I was different. I've always asked, 'Why? Why do I have to do that? Why do I have to look this way? Why do I have to dress this way? Why do I have to behave this way?'"
What do you think about Madonna's hairy revelations on Instagram, is it time for her top drop the camera, stop trying to shock fans, make music and think about how her actions may be effecting her four children, even if their mother is Madonna?
