Madonna: Nickname 'Madge' doesn't go with 23-year-old Brazilian model boyfriend

"Madge"...er, Madonna, says stop calling her that. She doesn't like the nickname and it makes her feel old.

Fair enough.

The 51-year-old Material Girl said the name is bagging years and pounds onto her emotional stress - Even crediting the name for the reason she left Britain.

The pop queen said, "That’s one of the reasons I left England, so I don’t have to hear the word ‘Madge’ any more."

Madonna agrees with most, admitting, "Some people say ‘Madge’ is a colloquialism for a boring middle-aged housewife."

But she also adds it could be short for Majesty.

Either way, Madonna says fudge to "Madge".

With her 22-year-old boyfriend and Brazilian model, Jesus Luz (there we go with Brazilian models again!), Madonna says she's more attracted to younger things - Her nickname being one and her boys being another.

“Younger people are more adventurous. Have you met many guys my age? They’re usually grumpy and fat and balding. As long as they’re old enough to dress themselves, they’re good enough.”

Madonna's figure also falls in the "younger" cat. She's a fierce competitior on stage and when it comes to her extreme diet and fitness regime with celebrity trainer Tracy Anderson, she colors in between the lines. 

Madonna, the mother of four and career celebrity, goes candidly commonsensical on the way she connects with the vehicle of her soul: "My body is part of my job. I look in the mirror and say, ‘More work… less cake, more work.’"
