Madonna has sights set for Super Bowl and London Olympics

In her return to the stage, to promote her new album, the controversial Madonna will perform at two marquee events next year.

Several sources have confirmed that the Material Girl will appear at both Super Bowl XLVI in February and at the London Olympics in July.

To promote her long-awaited twelfth album, Madonna will perform at halftime at the Indianapolis, IN game on February 5th.  Here, she will sing a new song, “Give Me All Your Love,” on the stage she will be sharing with M.I.A. and Nicki Minaj.   This upbeat dancepop song, which was unofficially released, is getting high raves.

So the stage is set for this seven-time Grammy award winner, who has previously turned-down two past offers for this event in 1998 and 2000.  Approximately 70,000 spectators will fill the sold-out stadium.

Five months later, she will unleash her act at London’s Hyde Park, as reported by the London Sun.  During the Summer Olympics, which run from July 27 – August 12, the 53-year-old is expected to treat 60,000 fans as part of the Olympics cultural event slate.

At the Vancouver 201 Winter Olympics, Nelly Furtado, INXS, and Barenaked Ladies performed.

She was awarded the “most played artist” in the United Kingdom accolade for the first decade of this third millennium.
