Hair is a thing women in America don’t like to have in many areas and we make sure to schedule our waxing appointments and keep a supply of lady shavers to keep our armpits and other areas clean and smooth, so when famous entertainer and fashion icon Madonna displayed her hairy armpit recently on her Instagram account it appeared all over the internet, newspapers and headlines. She commented with “Long hair...... Don't Care!!!!!!” and added hashtags #artforfreedom #rebelheart #revolutionoflove. She received lots of likes and comments.

Peoplestylewatch.com explained Madonna’s feelings on having hairy armpits… “I saw how popular girls had to behave to get the boys. I knew I couldn’t fit into that,” she told Harper’s Bazaar in 2011. “So I decided to do the opposite. I refused to wear makeup, to have a hairstyle. I refused to shave. I had hairy armpits.”

Madonna is a midwest girl, from Michigan. For many ladies in the midwest, shaving armpits and armpit waxing appointments are only important in the summer months after they take off all the layers of clothing.

Taking a poll - leave your comments below.

1. Do you shave or wax your armpits during the winter months?

2. Do you prefer waxing or shaving?

3. Do you support Madonna’s preference for hairy armpits?
