Madonna has apologized for making a racial slur on Instagram on Friday. Madonna, the 55-year old singing icon, was quickly taken to task by online viewers when she posted a picture of her son Rocco with an unappreciated and inappropriate caption. Under the picture of her 13-year-old son boxing, Madonna wrote “No one messes with Dirty Soap! Mama said knock you out! #disni--a,” according to a Yahoo! News report on Saturday.

Madonna was obviously proud of her son Rocco by having posted the picture of her son - with Guy Ritchie – was pictured in shorts and boxing gear in the boxing ring. The caption with the offensive, N-word hashtag, however, caught fire on the Internet.

Following the online discontent with her post, she took it down and sometime later reposted the image with the caption, “Ok let me start this again. #get off of my d-ck haters!”

Madonna apologized to anyone who was offended by her caption attached to Rocco's photo saying that she didn't mean to offend or upset anyone. Her tone throughout indicates that she was quite surprised by the reaction she got.

Earlier this month, Madonna was taken to task for posting a picture of Rocco holding a bottle of alcohol – Tangueray gin – on Instagram. Because he is underage, the flurry of criticism began. To that, Madonna wrote, “No one was drinking we were just having fun! Calm down and get a sense of humor!”

Madonna, the troubled Instagram-user, may want to rethink having an Instagram account?

Madonna also has three other children. Besides Rocco, she is the mother of daughters Lourdes, 17, and Mercy, 8, and son David, 8.
