The winter edition of one of Madison's favorite culinary events is upon us. The 2014 Winter Madison Magazine Restaurant Week started off on Sunday and goes through Friday, the 24th. The event includes over forty Madison restaurants that will offer up dinners menus for either $25, $30, or $35. A number of the eateries will also offer a lunch option for $15.
Each dinner and lunch menu includes three courses; a salad, soup, or appetizer, an entree, and a dessert. Many of the participating restaurants offer a fairly wide array of choices for each course and you are free to mix and match as you please. This makes it easy to customize restaurant week to your liking no matter where you decide to go.
With over forty different establishments taking part in the festivities it also makes it easy to pick between new places to try for the first time or go back to a favorite for the specially offered menu. Although it appears as though the only new restaurants participating this time around are Claddagh Irish Pub and Restaurant, Nonna's Ristorante Italiano, and Plate and Barrel. While this is a little disappointing, the overall list is still very sizable and leaves a lot to pick from.
