Surprisingly enough for me, Madison Magazine came out with their March 2012 issue that lists their choices for the 23 best burgers in the city just a short time after I started chronicling my journey to find and comment on the same thing. You can find their list here, which does a wonderful job at describing and categorizing each burger they list. The online article also lets visitors interact with the list by voting on their personal favorite so that an overall most popular best burger can be chosen.
While their list is very comprehensive my plan is to try all of their 23 burgers (using their article as a guide) and more to create my own list of personal favorites in weekly (or biweekly if I really get sick of eating burgers) three-piece additions. In the end, if I ever get there, I will choose the best of the best depending on different categories in hopes of pointing readers to what would be their favorite burger in the city.
