Last week it was revealed that Goncalo Amaral, an investigator who initially helped investigate Madeleine McCann’s disappearance in Portugal, has written a second book about the case called ‘The English Gag.’
The parents of the missing girl, Gerry and Kate McCann, are considering a defamation lawsuit against Goncalo Amaral for his first book ‘The Truth of the Lie,’ according to Sky News. The Mirror reports that the couple is furious about the thought of a second book.
Amaral was removed from Madeleine’s case when he criticized British authorities and subsequently wrote the initial book about his beliefs surrounding the case. The McCanns have already been successful in banning further publication and sale of 'The Truth of the Lie' in Portugal. In that book, Amaral writes that Madeleine is dead and questions her parents’ account of the night she went missing.
In his new book, he asserts that there is something important about a pink blanket that he claims disappeared the night the 3-year-old went missing, according to the Mirror.
A source close to the McCanns told the Mirror, “They just despair. This is the level of distortion and lies they’ve been up against.” The source went on to state that no blanket disappeared as “You can see it on the bed in the first photographs taken of the room. Amaral wasn’t even there.”
Also last week, the McCanns traveled back to Portugal where their daughter disappeared in 2007. Nevertheless, they did not go to Praia da Luz, the location of the vacation apartment from which authorities believe Madeleine was taken from while her parents dined nearby.

It didn't disappear the night of May 3, when Madeleine was reported missing. Amaral reports that he remembers seeing it next to Cuddlecat, the stuffed toy of Madeleine's that night. It's what might have happened to it afterward that is important. You'll have to wait for the book to come out to find out all the details. The release date of the book is October 3.
Don't count on the UK press for the truth of what's inside the book. Check out the Portuguese media and blogs, particularly joana-morais dot blogspot dot com for a fair report and translations, when necessary.
Maybe Gonc is publishing another book so that he can make an even bigger financial contibution to the Fins Madeleine fund when he settle the lawsuit over his "True lies". Of course if the criminal proceedings (in an unrelated child abduction case)against him go badly he may not need the money anyway as he may get free room and board for several years.
Sr. Amaral is an honorable man. His books are based on the official police investigation evidences on file, which have been released to the public. As such, what he has written is not libel, no matter how much the McCanns, their spokesperson, and high-priced lawyers, and Portuguese judge say it is.
He is appealing to the court against the suspension of sales of his book and ability to speak about the case in Portugal. His list of witnesses to present testimony at court include British police officers.
Leonor Cipriano was allegedly beaten by fellow female prisoners once they believed she was responsible for the murder of her daughter Joana. Her testimony during her trial changed at least half a dozen times. She could not identify her assailants. The court did not convict anyone for the beatings. It was never proven if or who did the beatings, but still they convicted Sr. Amaral for lying about the events. What?! He is appealing his suspended sentence. This was a frame-up.
The newspapers and press in the UK have failed miserably in their task to assuage the publics suspicions concerning the Mccanns and their disappeared child.
Public opinion remains firmly against, and not in favour, of the Mccanns and their agenda. It seems that it is now only the Mccanns who have yet to realise this fact.
Please give up this farce. You've all done enough to hamper the search for innocent little Madeleine. By the way, I'm not British or even European.

All I would like to see is the Mccanns to be treated like any other parents guilty of neglect. Also for them to be properly questioned regarding the night the child went missing. Do you not wonder why this hasn't happened?
The truth is that "THERE IS NOT A SHRED OF EVIDENCE, NOT EVEN ONE, IN THE POLICE FILES TO SUGGEST OR PROVE THAT AN ABDUCTION EVER TOOK PLACE". This was the final conclusion that both the Portugese and the British police came to, which is documented in the Portugese police files, made public for all to see. These are not lies but recorded facts that cannot be altered or changed by opinion or otherwise. So, if we start from there, you can clearly see who is telling lies. Anyone who has read about this case from the actual Portugese police files will eventually come to the same INFORMED opinion. The press and the McCanns may pull at your heartstrings but the reality and documented evidence (which cannot be swept under the carpet) are very different.
Does anyone think it is odd the McCanns and friends admitted that they didn't look for thei daughter that night, because so many people were already doing so.That is such an odd reaction, if it was just one of them that choose not to look you could blame personality preferences, but none of the 9 did.That's odd!! Especially with the fact that if Madeline was scared hidding somewhere wouldn't she have wanted a familiar voice looking for her. If I was a little girl and I was scared I would be frightful of people going around calling my name with a foreign accent.
Kate and Gerry McCann and their attack libel lawyers Carter-Ruck have scored yet another victory in their fight in supressing free speech. The Madeleine Foundation has acceded to their demands and will no longer run the website (although it is being managed by a US citizen in the US and who will decide on the content within) or distribute their booklets or leaflets, etc., as Carter-Ruck demanded in their correspondence of August 27, 2009. This is because the two principal officers of the Foundation faced total personal financial ruin in the face of an opponent with tremendous wealth and staying power. There was no certainty that the Foundation would win a libel suit, even if each item published was not libelous.
Everyone should be afraid of actions like this which demonstrate, at least in the UK, a supposedly democratic nation, that only the rich and powerful can afford free speech.
The McCanns will become one of the most hated couples of our time because of the actions they have taken after their daughter disappeared. More and more people are seeing them for what they are and despise them, particularly now that they think they have the right to shut everyone up who doesn't agree with them.
I hope some day they will rot in a real jail, and not just the one they made for themselves in the real world by their deceptions.

Ever since a certain forum was shut down last month, these trolls have surfaced again spewing out their verbal diarrhoea and hatred of the McCann's..You might have noticed that their conversation rarely ventures any further than Kate and Gerry, Madeleine hardly ever gets a mention from them and they are never positive, What sad sad lives they lead.
