Madden NFL 25: Run Free

For years the NFL has been about the drop back and pass quarterbacks, but the game has changed. Madden NFL 25 is leading the way for that change to our consoles. Quarterbacks are now more of a running back or wide receiver with a arm.

With the new Run Free system, a new arsenal of skills has been placed in our laps. In the Madden NFL titles of old, there have been a traditional set of 8 ball carrier moves. With Madden NFL 25, there are over 30.

Run Free was a concept born on the play of Carolina Panthers QB Cam Newton. While the Panthers weren't impressing anyone in the win/loss column, Newton's performance in his rookie season was dominant. He stood out amongst his peers by throwing for over 4000 yards and 14 rushing TDs.

With other QBs standing out in the league such as Robert Griffin III, Colin Kaepernick, and Russell Wilson. These athletes are dynamic and explosive. They need a title that will represent that. That is exactly what the folks at EA Sports are looking to do with Madden NFL 25.

Madden NFL 25 will be released on Tuesday, August 27th.
