According to the Hollywood Reporter, the AMC drama "Mad Men" hit a series high of 2.8 million viewers. The critics response and Academy Award nominations certainly helped the program with viewership as it was up almost 34 percent from last season.
For the evening, the show pulled in 4.4 million viewers thanks to two repeat episodes and the 3rd season premier.
Thanks to an error on iTunes, the third episode of "Mad Men" was available for download on Tuesday evening. Network executive's aren't sure exactly how this happened and are currently investigating the issue.
The episode, which airs August 30th, is no longer available and the network is asking those who did watch the episode not spoil anything for other fans of the show. If you can't wait, some details of episode were revealed at Gawker.com.
