When you think of Peter Campbell's wife from “Mad Men,” you think of Trudy with her squeaky voice and the way that she domineers the homelife. The actor who plays Peter is Vincent Kartheiser and he is getting married to Alexis Bledel, who's character on “Mad Men” had an affair with Pete, according to the LA Times on Wednesday, March 20, 2013.
Alexis played the mentally unstable wife of a friend of Pete's on “Mad Men,” Beth Dawes. She seduced Pete and their affair looked like it might go somewhere, but then Beth goes in for shock treatment, so not much of the old Beth remained.
Vincent and Alexis got engaged a few weeks ago, they've been dating since early 2012. This is the first marriage for both. The engagement ring that Alexis is sporting is said to be “huge” and gorgeous. A close friend of the couple report that the two couldn't be happier.
