"Mad Men's" January Jones tapped to be in next "X-Men" film

Actress January Jones currently on AMC’s hit drama series “Mad Men” is confirmed for “X-Men: First Class”.

Jones, who plays Mrs. Betty Draper, opposite star of “Mad Men” Jon Hamm, will play a mutant on the next “X-Men” installment. According to deadline.com, Emmy nominated actress, Jones will play Emma Frost, a gorgeous mutant with telepathic powers. This unique character will be dressed in all-white, is able to read minds and can alter memories and turn her skin into diamonds.

The next Matthew Vaughn-directed “X-men” film will focus on younger versions of the mutant superheroes. Other popular names to join in the next “X-Men” film are: Kevin Bacon, Oliver Platt and Zoe Kravitz.

January Jones is nominated for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series at the 2010 Emmy awards for her role in “Mad Men.”
