Mad Men parties are all the rage these days. From TV viewing parties to real-life themed parties, we’re in love with the fashion and wit of Mad Men.
As it was requested that we dress for the occasion, I found a vintage Diane von Furstenberg dress in my closet and wore a hair band similar to one I would have worn in high school.
The men came dressed looking dapper with suits and appropriate ties as they sipped the specialty drink of the night, the "Mad Men Cocktail," blood orange macerated vodka with citrus soda and a splash of blood orange and tangerine juice poured over crushed ice. For only $2.50, it was a price reflective of the 60s. Other drink specials included “What a Nice Pair You Have,” “Lemondrop Blush,” and “Goose Me.”
SingularCity guests were treated to a chilly visit to Nic’s VODBOX for a shot of freezing cold vodka with a variety of flavors from vanilla to chocolate and everything in between. The VODBOX, an ultimate walk-in, drink-in exhibitionist freezer, was designed solely for the enjoyment of vodka in its purest form. I felt like I was in Russia or a Scandinavian country. Before entering the VODBOX, we bundled up with faux fur coats and hats to put over our Mad Men themed attire.
A good time was had by all in attendance.
