The College of Physicians of Philadelphia has announced the theme of the 2013 Mütter Ball: "Mad Men and Medicine." Taking place on April 6, at the College in Center City Philadelphia, organizers are encouraging guests to wear attire appropriate to the early 1960s, or to Bravo's hit television series. They suggest cocktail dresses and suits, skinny ties, starched shirts, and cat eye glasses.
The Ball, which goes to benefit the Mütter Museum of medical history, is now in its fifth year. Previous themes have included Victorian and steampunk attire, and the styles of the 1920s. Previous guests have included singer-songwriter Jill Tracy, and gothic bellydancer Tempest.
No 2013 program has yet been announced, but previous years brought live music and DJs, dancing, and a VIP lounge featuring premium cocktails and desserts.
Tickets start at $85.00, with additional costs for the VIP lounge and gala dinner. They can be found through the College of Physicians' website.
