'Mad Men' actress gets new TV show

Peyton List, perhaps best known for her portrayal of Jane Sterling in the TV show "Mad Men," has landed a part in the pilot for a new television series, Deadline Hollywood reported on Feb. 17

List will play the part of Cara in a pilot for CW's "Tomorrow People," Deadline reported.

According to, the possible new series is "the story of several young people from around the world who represent the next stage in human evolution, possessing special powers, including the ability to teleport and communicate with each other telepathically. Together they work to defeat the forces of evil."

In 2005, List was nominated for a Soap Opera Digest Award for Favorite New Couple for “As the World Turns.” She shared the nomination with actor Grayson McCouch.

After portraying Lucy Montgomery on “As the World Turns,” List went on to appear in several TV series.

Her credits include Tally Reida in “Waterfront,” Ava in “Day Break,” Cameron Collingsworth in “Big Shots,” Nicole Kirby in “FlashFordward” and Lindsey Beckwith in “90210.”
