Hundreds of people gather today at the mall entrance of the newly remodeled Macy’s Westshore store in Tampa, Florida for the grand re-opening celebration.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held in front of the store and hosted by store manager Penny Parker along with State Senator Jeff Brandes, U.S. Rep. Kathy Castor, City Councilman Harry Cohen, Miss Florida 2013 Myrrhanda Jones and other local dignitaries.
The first 100 shoppers that entered the store through the Mall entrance at 10AM received a $10 Gift Card. Among the festivities there were prizes, meet and greets, a fashion show, music, food and shopping.
Tampa Bay Rays Broadcaster Todd Kalas made a personal appearance in the store as well as American Idol Finalist Jessica Sanchez. A lunch and fashion show was hosted by the style professionals from Macy’s By Appointment and Kate Campbell, Department Chair of Fashion & Retail Management at the Art Institute of Tampa. Catering was provided by Datz Dough + Dazzle.
