Macy's Lenox Square celebrates Black History Month with Eriq La Salle Saturday

Macy's stores across the country are celebrating Black History Month with a tribute to famed photographer Gordon Parks and his 100th birthday. Come out and celebrate the life of Gordon Parks on Saturday February 16, 2013 by viewing iconic images in the photographic art installation featuring some of his most beloved works, such as American Gothic, Washington D.C. 1942. Macy's guests can join in a discussion titled "In Conversation" with a collection of special guests like actor/director Eriq La Salle to discuss Gordon Parks' influence on film and the future of African-American cinema.

Prior to the discussion with Eriq La Salle there will be a children's activity in the Macy's children's department. Kids will get to design their own book and learn more about Black History Month and Gordon Parks at their own level.
