Last year, the “it” Marilyn Monroe branded product was the MAC x Marilyn Monroe makeup collaboration and now, it’s Macy’s chance to churn out their own “Marilyn Monroe” collection with their retro chic Marilyn inspired line which made its debut in the M Style Lab at 150 select Macy’s stores.
The most recent endeavor inspired by Miss Monroe proves that although she met her untimely demise over 50 years ago, fans are still mesmerized by her iconic beauty, glamour and sex appeal.
Targeted towards young women ages 13-30, the collection consists of a retro looking cherry print dress similar to the one Monroe wore in her movie “The Misfits,” cut off jean shorts with cute lip print pocket lining, cropped tees with her image emblazoned across the chest, a black halter dress with white polka dots as well as a few cutesy gingham checked pieces similar to what Monroe wore back in her days as a pinup girl.
Being a diehard Marilyn fan, I found the collection to be quite charming and with the prices ranging from only $29-$89 why not pick up a piece for spring to channel your inner Marilyn…
