MacWorld/iWorld 2013 to host iPhone Film Festival on Feb. 1

The iPhone Film Festival will take place on Friday, Feb. 1 as part of the MacWorld/iWorld Expo in San Francisco.

Macworld/iWorld and the producers of the iPhone Film Festival will host filmmakers from around the world as they debut award-winning films and never before seen films premiering exclusively for Macworld/iWorld attendees.

The iPhone Film Festival 4 Grand Prize winner will also be announced during the event taking place during MacWorld/iWorld from 5:00pm – 6:30pm in Moscone Center West, Room 2005.

Attendees will also get to see footage from some of the top submitted films – all shot using iPhone technology.

Ruben Kazanstev, founder of the iPhone Film Festival, will also screen his latest project "Departure," which is described as an unchartered concept in filmmaking.

"Departure" is a film utilizing three main locations, in three separate countries, the United States, France, and Belarus, and three distinct directors from those regions.

Each filmmaker will contribute their assigned footage, shot exclusively on the iPhone apparatus, to form one complete project, one complete intertwining story that will debut for the first time at Macworld/iWorld.
