MacKenzie's Tae Kwon Do to host Hapkido Founder Ji Han Jae

MacKenzie's Tae Kwon Do and Hapkido will be hosting a three day event featuring Hapkido founder, Dojunim Ji Han Jae. Grandmaster Ji, Han Jae is the founder of Sin Moo Hapkido and starred with Bruce Lee in the movie, Game of Death. The movie launched him into international stardom and specifically recognized for wearing the famous "Gold Belt" in the film.

Grandmaster MacKenzie explains: "Bruce Lee viewed Dojunim Ji Han Jae as the best in the world, and insisted that he wear the famous 'Gold-Belt' in the film. This is how the tradition of the 'Gold-Belt' began in Hapkido / SinMoo Hapkido. Only those who are awarded the 'Gold-Belt' directly from Doju Ji, Han Jae are permitted to wear it."

Approved and sanctioned by the world-governing body, World Sin Moo Hapkido Federation, the Masters of Ceremony of the upcoming event will be Grandmaster Scott Yates and Grandmaster John Godwin.

Grandmaster Ken MacKenzie is the highest-ranking American-born practitioner of Korean martial arts, achieving the 10th Degree Black Belt in Hapkido and named as the inheritor of Korean Hapkido and Sin Moo by Dojunim Ji Han Jae. He is also a Master-Instructor in TaeKwon-Do and expert in American Kickboxing, as well as holding the title for 3-Time World-Champion.

Most recently, on August 8-10, 2014, Grandmaster MacKenzie and Grandmaster Godwin were recognized for their contributions to the Arts by the Korean Martial Arts Masters Hall of Fame in Sault Ste Marie, Ontario, Canada.

Grandmaster Scott Yates, along with Grandmaster MacKenzie, founded MacKenzie and Yates Martial Arts in 1995 and it has grown into one of the most popular and respected martial arts schools in Southern New Jersey.

The 2014 International Hapkido Summit will feature three full days of "on the mat" training while also celebrating Grandmaster Ji, Han Jae's 65th year of excellence in the martial arts.

The historical event will take place on November 14-16, 2014 at the MacKenzie's Tae Kwon Do and Hapkido Institute, 200 White Horse Road, Voorhees Township, New Jersey.

Grandmaster MacKenzie added, "This seminar is open to all age groups and ranks and everyone is invited to attend, train, and celebrate Dojunim Ji Han Jae's 65 years of studying and leading the martial arts."
