Maci Bookout will be back on MTV Sunday night with her one-hour special “Being Maci.” Many fans wonder if this special will lead to something more for the former “Teen Mom” who was rumored to be getting her own show for a while. In an August 15 interview, Maci Bookout finally opened up about whether or not MTV is going to give her an entire show.
First, Maci explained why she decided to do the “Being Maci” special saying that fans had wondered what was going on with the southern red-head and her son. That resulted in MTV filming the special that fans will see Sunday night. Since the fans wanted to see more of Maci Bookout and MTV listened, will they listen if fans want to see more?
Maci further explained, “There's no word about that right now. I honestly have no idea. It has to be up to the fans and what they want to see.”
Maci Bookout has always been one of the most popular “Teen Moms” and there is no doubt that fans would love to keep up with her. Of course, the show wouldn’t be the same without Bentley and, for Maci that is the deciding factor if the opportunity for a weekly series ever does arise.
Maci went on to say:
"If any spin-off did happen, I'd say that probably the only things I would want him to be involved in would be the things that go on at home. I wouldn't necessarily want him at school being covered and stuff like that.
I do want him to be as normal as he can be and I don't want to make any decisions to take away from his normalcy -- even though he'll always be Bentley.
At this point, as much as I can slow it down, I will try to slow it down."
Without a doubt, a spin-off is indeed a hard decision. On one hand, the public would love to keep up with Maci Bookout and Bentley, but Maci has to make the best decision for her son.
Luckily, she has already made that decision for “Being Maci” and fans can see that on Sunday night.
