Macho Man Randy Savage dies in car accident after a heart attack

Wrestling super star Macho Man Randy Savage suffered a heart attack while driving on a Florida highway Friday morning. He lost control of his car, went off the road and ran into a tree. He later died from his injuries.

Savage, 58, had twenty championships during his wrestling career. Wrestling fans knew his catch phrase “Ooh yeah” and he sported a headband and matching robe. He may be best known for partnering up with Hulk Hogan.

TMZ reports, Savage was transported from the scene to Largo Medical Center, where he shortly died thereafter. His wife, Lynn, was also in the Jeep during the accident, however she only sustained minor injuries.

Reportedly, both Randy Savage and Lynn were wearing their seat belts.

While the injuries sustained as a result of the car accident are considered the cause of death, Savage's heart attack is also a contributing factor.
