In 2012, MacDonald Motorsports made its first splash in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series, with six different drivers taking their turn behind the wheel. The team showed speed and resilience throughout the season, and is looking to build on that for 2013.
“We really had a great first year in the K&N Pro Series,” explained team owner, Jeni MacDonald. “With a number of different drivers and sponsors, our team consistently over-achieved on the race track and we were able to bring home some pretty solid finishes. I’m really looking forward to see what we can do to top our first season in 2013.”
In just their first season racing in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series, the MacDonald Motorsports team proved they belong. Sean Caisse qualified the car third at the famed Bowman Gray Stadium, while youngster Harrison Rhodes ran inside the top-5 all race in Columbus before settling for an 8th place result.
Three drivers from three different countries made their first ever NASCAR K&N Pro Series start in 2012 with MacDonald Motorsports. Randy MacDonald and the rest of the team have worked very well with young drivers, teaching them the ropes in NASCAR, on-and-off the race track.
With top-notch equipment and a strong crew, MacDonald Motorsports aims to become a top-10 team weekly in 2013. K&N Pro Series drivers will also have the option to test a Nationwide Series car at some point during the season, and possibly even run a Nationwide Series race in the fall.

MacDonald Motorsports Owner Randy MacDonald has been around the NASCAR circles since 1985, when he won the NASCAR North Rookie of the Year title while studying for his mechanical engineering degree. Inspired by his dad, Randy chose to pursue his dream to race cars and develop an entrepreneurial spirit.
