Macaron baking with Le Couvent des Minimes

Last week I was invited to experience Le Couvent des Minimes fragrances and make macarons at Mille Feille Bakery. The evening was a true French experience that included champagne, desserts and the launch of the brand's new Botanical Cologne of the Cloister. The new rose smelling scent is warm and perfect for summer. As we assisted in baking macarons, we learned about the 400 year old beauty brand and tested out the scents.

Le Couvent des Minimes four botanical fragrances come from an age long history of plant-based care that started at a convent of Mane in the South of France, that once was a home to the Minimes brothers, who were botanist monks. The convent has now been restored and is hotel and spa.

The intoxicating perfumes include natural ingredients like fresh notes of black currant, orange blossom, and Virginia cedar. They can be used on the body, as well as room sprays.

Besides fragrances, Le Couvent des Minimes includes a line of skincare and hair care products. To learn more about all of their products click here.
