If you haven’t already gotten your hands on a MAC Cosmetics monster makeup kit this year - then run, don’t walk, to your nearest MAC store because your time is about to expire.
Released in collaboration with Oscar winning special effects makeup artist Rick Baker, the Halloween-inspired collection is compiled of kits with instructions on how to recreate popular monster looks including the Bride of Frankenstein, zombies, and a spider queen from Day of the Dead, along with powders, eyeliners, pencils and paint sticks ranging from $15 to $44 in price.
Baker, known for his work in The Wolfman, An American Werewolf in London, Men in Black, and Michael Jackson’s Thriller, modeled the line using existing MAC products and personal inspiration from Hollywood monster movies such as Dracula, Phantom of the Opera, and of course, Frankenstein.
Earlier this month Baker hosted the Halloween Monster Mash, a ghoulish gala at his own Cinovation Studios in Glendale where models, actors, musicians, and celebrity personalities showed off their spooky style in honor of the MAC Halloween product line, on sale now through the end of October.
Will the monster makeup line spawn a MAC Halloween makeup 2.0 next year? We sure do hope so! View the slideshow to see celebrities modeling the fun, fiendish looks of this year's Monster Mash with Rick Baker.
