Mable's Smokehouse breast cancer benefit this week in NYC

If in Brooklyn on Thursday March 6, 2014, have a meal at Mable's Smokehouse and benefit breast cancer research at the same time. From 11 a.m. til 11 p.m. all money made from the entire day will go to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

This benefit is in memory of owner Jeff Lutonsky's mother, who died in 2007 after a long battle fighting breast cancer. Mable's is located at 44 Berry Street in Brooklyn. Their food and beer prices are certainly not bad for New York City. For $10.95, one can get a beef brisket sandwich and a side. Not bad for being in a trendier part of Brooklyn.

But regardless of the cost of the food, it all goes to breast cancer research where someday a cure will be priceless.
