Æther Adept is Magic: The Gathering's M11 core set take on an old classic powerhouse from the annals of MTG's history - the eclectic and elegant Man-o'-War.

The Æther Adept/Man-o'-War theme has been visited by blue often enough, and even had a morphing variant Echo Tracer way back in Legions.

The Æther Adept isn't quite a functional reprint, as the mana cost has been tweaked slightly and it will be harder to run in three to five color decks, but the power level is likely to remain quite solid - this is a very playable, very potent card.  And they even went and gave Æther Adept two relevant creature types as icing on this blue cake (Sorry, Jellyfish, your time will come!)

In Standard?  Expect to see Æther Adept.  We're not sure exactly where Æther Adept is going to fit in right now, but when blocks roll over come October, there's gonna be space for this brilliant blue bouncer in all kinds of places.  Æther Adept might even make his way into the scene before that, we'll have to see everything that M11 brings to the environment.

In Limited?  This is top pick premium power, and with what we know so far about M11 (which, granted, is only about half the set) the preliminary indicators all scream Æther Adept being highly playable, highly pickable, and  highly dangerous.

Going out on a limb here, but there's very little chance Æther Adept won't make the Top 5 blue common list for M11 draft selection.

Æther Adept is all kinds of flavor and simplicity rolled into a very tasty common bite size bounce creature, and looks to be an excellent addition to the Magic: The Gathering M11 core set lineup.
