Mind Control will be back in Magic: The Gathering's M11 core set, representing blue's penchant for creature thievery.  Blue creature control has taken many forms over Magic: The Gathering's history - let's take a look at M11's Mind Control:

Mind Control is simple enough, and an incredibly useful tool.  When that opposing Sun Titan, Baneslayer Angel, or Ancient Hellkite hits the board and your opponent gives off that smug grin of impending victory and you respond by stealing it and running them into the ground, well, that's really what blue's trickery is supposed to be all about.

There's been many variants and offshoots of what Wizards of the Coast seems to have settled on for a "hard" creature steal spell at 5 casting cost in Mind Control, including the old-school Control Magic, power-dependant Domestication, random-snagging Telemin Performance and more - check out the slideshow for a trip down Magic: The Gathering's creature control memory lane.

The new artwork featured on M11's Mind Control features what appears to be our blue brand man himself, Jace Beleren, take over some sort of hulking beast, with an appropriate quote to match.

Look for Mind Control to maintain presence as a high quality selection in the upcoming M11 limited environment, as stealing your opponent's best creature is often much better than playing your own (is often a 2 for 1)
