Frost Titan is the third mythic rare titan creature that we've seen from Magic: The Gathering's M11 core set, and essentially confirms the speculation that there will be one titan for each color - We've already seen Sun Titan and Inferno Titan. How does Frost Titan stack up?

Creature - Giant Mythic Rare
Whenever Frost Titan becomes the target of a spell or ability and opponent controls, counter that spell or ability unless its controller pays 2.
Whenever Frost Titan enters the battlefield or attacks, tap target permanent. That permanent doesn't untap during its controller's next untap step.
6/6
Frost Titan doesn't seem as impressive as his mythological brethren at first glace, but with all blue's gotten so far in M11 such as Conundrum Sphinx, Mana Leak, Scroll Thief, Æther Adept, and a plethora of Scry cards, there's little room to complain about Frost Titan being a little... bland, in comparison.
Shroud would have been solid, putting Frost Titan in the running for the slot where most decks would run the Sphinx of Jwar Isle - as it is, there is very little incentive to run the Frost Titan over the "standard" Standard creatures like the Sphinx or a Baneslayer Angel.
How about M11 Limited play? Like the rest of his mythic kin, Frost Titan wins the game if played and not answered quickly, and is certainly first pick material.
Frost Titan seems a little underwhelming compared to his brothers, with Sun Titan still seeming like the "one to break" for constructed play, but is a highly serviceable game-winning mythic rare for your draft pod or sealed deck pool.
Frost Titan will be tapping down and going to town during Magic: The Gathering's M11 core set release and prerelease events happening in just a few weeks in July, so don't miss out!
