UK rapper and singer M.I.A. [Mathangi Arulpragasam] was given a prime opportunity to increase her international appeal by performing alongside Madonna and other superstars during the Superbowl XLVI halftime show. However, she managed to do the complete opposite by inexplicably flipping off the crowd while performing.
Her actions were a black-eye to an otherwise entertaining halftime show featuring Madonna, Nicki Minaj, Celo Green and LMFAO.
How M.I.A. managed to secure the halftime gig is also inexplicable, but this will probably be the last time her name is considered for any major televised show.
Just in case she does get another opportunity on television to increase her fan base, here are five things M.I.A. should focus on instead of flipping off the crowd:
- Learning how to rap
- Learning how to sing
- Learning how to dance
- Instead of “flipping the bird”, try hiding that beak of a nose
- Finding a solid musical career first before proclaiming you’re M.I.A.
Unfortunately, M.I.A. pretty much sums up where her career will be following her performance on Superbowl Sunday.
