The Lyric Opera of Kansas City, founded in 1958 by Russell Patterson, offers a chance to be treated to the VIP way of life. If you purchase tickets to The Flying Dutchman or The Mikado by January 25th, you'll be entered for a chance to win the big prize. This includes two upgraded prime-location seats, valet parking and a pair of complimentary drinks.
After moving to their current show location at the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts, they now perform in four productions per season. Sitting in the heart of downtown Kansas City, Mo., the Kauffman is a state-of-the-art theater that has become the place for theater and ballet.
The Flying Dutchman recalls the tale of a damned sea captain who must find true love to be saved. The Dutchman will be played by Richard Paul Fink. You can find tickets to this show for as low as $25.
If a cursed captain sailing the seas isn't your style, The Mikado, by Gilbert and Sullivan, is a comedy centered in Japan about an Emperor's son in love with a woman while promised to another. This show has Joshua Kohl in the starring role and shows in April.
