Lynyrd Skynyrd and Bad Company return to Jiffy Lube Live this weekend

Last year when Lynyrd Skynyrd and Bad Company took the stage at Jiffy Lube Live it was one of the biggest classic rock events in the Washington area. Saturday, July 19, 2014 at 7 PM the two bands return for a special show. Lynyrd Skynyrd was one of the best Southern rock bands of the seventies and all time. Bad Company was among the best British rock bands of the seventies. The show promises great classic rock hits, guitar heroes, and legendary vocals. It is a show classic rock fans won't want to miss!

The anthems "Sweet Home Alabama" and "Freebird" lift Lynyrd Skynyrd into a legendary status reserved for few bands. Some might say the band ended with the tragic airplane crash in 1977. You certainly can't replace people. The current line up only features one original member guitarist Gary Rossington. Still there is the family connection with Johnny Van Zandt on lead vocals who is Ronnie's younger brother. The spirit of the band lives on with a potent three guitar attack featuring Rossington, Mark Matejka, and Rickey Medlocke. The relentless road warriors keep fans entertained by playing all the favorites. Nine of the bands 14 studios albums have been recorded after 1977. Bad Company has some anthems of their own like "Feel Like Making Love." Paul Rodgers is one of rock's legendary vocalists. Mick Ralphs is known for his trademark Les Paul sound on guitars. Simon Kirke is solid behind the drums. Jiffy Lube Live is a premiere outside concert venue just west of Washington, D.C. in Bristow, Virginia. The venue is home to many of the area's biggest concerts.
