Lynda Carter's to receive a star in Palm Springs on Saturday, May 10

On Saturday, May 10 the city of Palm Springs will present Lynda Carter with a star on the Palm Springs Walk of Stars.

The event will be held outside the Cafe Europa at “The Corridor” at 515 North Palm Canyon Drive at 4pm. The afternoon ceremony is open to the public.

Lynda Carter's good friend, Lindsay Wagner (The Bionic Woman) will present her with the star that day.

The entire Palm Springs star event was arrange by two of Lynda Carter's super fans, Sabastian Reich and Frank Ewing The twosome tirelessly this past year fund raised all the money need to secure the star and create an event wondrous enough for their #1.

Lynda Carter has an entertainment career which spans almost four decades. She is best known as TV's original Wonder Woman and went on to do to many mini-series and TV movies including Daniel Steel's Daddy, Rita Hayworth; The Love Goddess, Family Blessings, The Last Song - just to name a few. She also starred in two more TV series Partners in Crime and Hawkeye.

She has been seen on the silver screen in The Dukes of Hazard (2005), Sky Eye (2005) and has done many memorable guest appearances on Law & Order, Smallville and most recently in Two and a Half Men.

Cater has released three albums, Portrait (1978), At Last (2009) and Crazy Little Thing (2011). She's had six musical TV specials and preformed in the West End London production of Chicago.
