Last night was the opening for Lynda Carter’s "From the Heart" three day concert run at the Catalina Bar & Grill in Hollywood.
Once again Lynda Carter ROCKS a show which is not to be missed.
Carter is preforming again tonight, Friday, March 15 and tomorrow Saturday, March 16 at 8:30pm. Tickets on sale at www.lyndacarter.com or www.ticketmaster.com
Here are some of the highlights;
The audience got a sneak peak at the wonderful-beautiful-talented Lynda Carter (aka Wonder Woman!) as she peeked out of her dressing room to wave and say her hellos to the pack house.
Once Carter hit the stage - she did not hold back! Carter’s rendition of “Fever” is simply hot and sensuous. Then sang the show stopping rendition of ‘Stop! In the Name of Love”.
Before she wowed the audience with her next song, Carter told the story of when she was a contestant for the Miss World USA, they wanted her to sing a pop song but Carter had other ideas especially since her background in signing is more the blues-country-Latino flare! So she decided to sing Billie Holiday's song “God Bless the Child”. Then she sang it and after you hear her sing the song you will know why Ms. Carter won Miss USA that year!
One of the songs which was a highlight for me of the evening was “Do it for you”. Such a moving song and sung perfectly. The arrangement of that song and of all the songs in Carter’s set are supreme and each song is given her own special touch like no other.
Carter wows us with not only her great vocals but she even sang a few songs she has written herself including, “Jessie Song” which is a wonderful touching song about her daughter moving away to college. It’s a wonderful song sung from the heart and is pure perfection. Then she sang "Stay with you Baby” about her 30 year marriage! Now, that's one fun sexy-sexy song!
The music on the stage keep on rocking including Carter’s rendition of “Rumor Has it.” WOW – it’s fantastic.
One great moment of the show is when Carter sings alongside her three backup singers. The four-some sing the song “Candyman” which was super-Jazzy-sweet!
Then for some salsa fun the song “Conga” and then finishes up the evening with the song “Let the Good Time Roll” - a terrific way to end the show!
